The history behind CBT Cells

Being aware of the serious safety issues surrounding some of the batteries which are sold by many of the Chinese discount outlets and off eBay, with pretty outer wrappings but ugly inner workings, outrageous mAh ratings and protection which doesn't protect , we set out to have the ultimate batteries designed and built for us, here at CustomBuildTorches.
Having built strong and supportive relationships with the manufacturers, we are proud to offer our range of rechargeable protected 18650 Lithium-ion CBT Cells.
The range topping  "CBT 18650 3400mAh"  battery offers the most comprehensive safety package available along with the industries highest genuine mAh rating.
We are the first company within Europe to offer a battery containing the Panasonic NCR18650B cell combined with top of the range IC protection, courtesy of Seiko.

In addition to the added electronic protection referred to as IC or PCB (integrated circuitry or printed circuit board), these high quality cells have an in built mechanical protection against the build up of heat and pressure.  This protection is to prevent the possibility in very extreme cases of explosion.  The latest advance in inbuilt thermal and pressure protection actually stops the chemical reaction by separating the electrodes inside the cell when the pressure reaches a predefined threshold. The vent disc then opens and releases the gas and excess pressure.

What you will receive

The CBT Cells will be delivered to you in pairs, heat shrink wrapped and contained within a plastic protective case.
Each battery will be partially charged around the recommended 40% safe level, so will need charging after purchase.
