Coloured Torch Filters

CustomBuildTorches offer two types of filters

• The CustomBuildTorches four piece push on filter set in red, amber, green & blue set which is specific to the Mini-Lamp Zoom & the Universal Field Torch, but which would also fit any torch with a 40mm - 41mm diameter head.  These easily slip on and off the torch.

• The Bushwacker coloured flip-up filters, which use a durable yet extremely flexible rubber sleeve and are built to the highest quality standard.  These offer the convenience of just having to flip up and down the coloured lens rather than actually removing and replacing the whole filter.

Which filters do I need for CustomBuildTorches products

• "Mini-Lamp Focus" use size 3 flip-up filters (30.4mm - 35.6mm)
  
• "Universal Filed Torch" & "Mini-Lamp Zoom" use size 4 flip-up filters (35.6mm - 40.6mm) or the 4 peice push-on filter set

Bushwackwaker Flip-up coloured filters

The Bushwacker flip-up filters use a high quality flexible rubber sleeve which fits tightly onto the head of the torch, offering more flexibility than conventional filters which enables them to last longer and not split if over stretched.
The filters flip open to reveal the piercing cool white light or close it to utilize the filtered light. 

The full range of Filters are available in 6 sizes:

• Size 3 filter, which fits onto a 30.4mm to 35.6mm torch head or scope
  
• Size 4 filter, which fits onto a 35.6mm to 40.6mm torch head or scope
  
• Size 5 filter, which fits onto a 40.6mm to 46.7mm torch head or scope
  
• Size 6 filter, which fits onto a 46.7mm to 55.9mm torch head or scope
  
• Size 7 filter, which fits onto a 55.9mm to 62.2mm torch head or scope
  
• Size 8 filter, which fits onto a 62.2mm to 67.3mm torch head or scope
  

The filters can be used for filtering the torches light for hunting, signalling or used as scope covers.

The Bushwacker flip-up filter is only listed to buy in the colour red, but it is also available in amber, blue and green in limited quantities.

Amber 

In wooded locations it lights your way without spooking the animals.  It causes less stain on your eyes and helps your eyes adjust between pitch black and the light more rapidly.  

When hunting this picks out eyes of animals without lighting up the whole area and is less likely to spook the animals.  The red filter can also be used as a warning signal.  

This can be used for tracking wounded prey as it highlights the blood trail and will not spook the animals.  The blue filter can also be used as a warning signal.  

This has very little negative effect on the brightness of the torch, but offers an alternative colour to easily spooked animals and is good in misty conditions.
